Subject: 9442 1990-147 Electric Power board Date: Mon, 27 Feb 1989 12:20:00 -0500 1990-147 Electric Power Board of Chattanooga ORDINANCE NO. 9442 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING BRAGG AVENUE LOCATED NORTHWEST FROM NEW YORK STREET, BETWEEN LEE AVENUE AND HOOKER AVENUE, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned Bragg Avenue located northwest from New York Street, between Lee Avenue and Hooker Avenue, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: Bragg Avenue, a 40 foot wide unopened right-of-way beginning on the northwest line of New York Street (unopened) 300 feet southwest of the intersection of the northwest line of New York Street with the southwest line of Lee Avenue (unopened), and extending northwest 250 feet between parallel lines. Said street separates Lots 11-15, Block 14, from Lots 6-10, Block 15, West Chattanooga Land Company's Subdivision No. 1, as shown by plat of record in Plat Book 6, Page 34, R.O.H.C. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions: 1. The properties abutting said right-of-way shall be resubdivided in order that no land-locked parcels shall be created by this ordinance; such resubdivision shall be approved by the City Traffic Engineer. SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law, provided that this ordinance shall not be operative until completion of the resubdivision specified in Section 2 above.
